New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution defender DeJuan Jones has been named to the United States Men's National Team's preliminary roster for the upcoming 2023 Concacaf Nations League Finals. The United States will play against Mexico in the Nations League Semifinal on June 15th, before gearing up for the Nations League Final or Third-Place Match on June 18th. The final roster will be announced on Monday, May 22. All games will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jones owns two international call-ups, most recently being selected by the United States' roster for international friendlies this past January in California. The outside back made his international debut with a 26-minute performance off the bench on January 26 in a 2-1 loss to Serbia. Three days later, Jones suited up for his first international start, a full 90-minute performance, in a 0-0 draw against Colombia. Jones was also selected by the United States for its January Camp in 2022.
The fifth-year defender owns 111 appearances in his MLS career, including 98 starts, with six goals and 16 assists. This season, Jones has appeared in 11 matches, all starts, with one goal and three assists, helping New England to a 7-2-3 record through its first 12 games. The 25-year-old has reached the scoresheet in each of his last two outings, with one goal and one assist. Jones' three assists this season rank tied for third-most among MLS defenders.
Jones and the Revolution will visit the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night at Subaru Park. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and is available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish. The match can also be heard on the radio locally on 98.5 The Sports, with Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies calling the action, and on 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA in Portuguese
