Chicago Rush News Release
Chicago Rush linebacker DeJuan Alfonzo has been named the Arena Football League's Ironman of the Week for his performance in Saturday night's 70-35 win over John Elway's Colorado Crush, the AFL announced today. It is the second time in four weeks Alfonzo has been recognized by the league.
Alfonzo recorded six tackles, caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown, rushed for a four-yard TD, and recovered an on-side kick in the win.
After back-to-back blowout wins over Central Division rivals Grand Rapids and Colorado, the Rush (3-1) looks to extend its winning streak to three when the Arizona Rattlers (2-2) visit Allstate Arena Friday evening.
