
Defenseman Aleksandr Mikulovich Joins Solar Bears

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have agreed to terms with defenseman Aleksandr Mikulovich on an ECHL Standard Player Contract for the 2017-18 season. Additionally, Orlando has traded rookie forward Troy Crema to the Manchester Monarchs in exchange for future considerations.
The Solar Bears originally acquired the rights to Mikulovich, 21, from the Rapid City Rush on Aug. 16. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound blueliner split his rookie professional season between Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League and Rapid City, recording six points (1g-5a) and 47 penalty minutes in 43 total games. Earlier this month, the native of Chelyabinsk, Russia attended the training camp of the Toronto Marlies, Orlando's American Hockey League affiliate.
Crema, 22, dressed in both of Orlando's preseason games but did not suit up in the team's regular season opener on Oct. 14 at Jacksonville. The Solar Bears return to the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center to open their home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 28 vs. the Atlanta Gladiators at 7 p.m.
