WHAT: Tribute to former Indy Fuel Anthem Singer Eric Wickens before Opening Night game
WHERE: Indiana Farmers Coliseum (1202 East 38th Street, Indianapolis 46205)
WHEN: Saturday, October 21, 2017 - Game scheduled for 7:35 p.m. start time
WHO: Members of the Wickens family, Indy Fuel representatives
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel will recognize their former Anthem Singer Eric Wickens prior to their Opening Night game this Saturday at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The team will pay tribute to Eric's memory during a brief pregame ceremony, which will include a ceremonial puck drop from his son Quincy.
Wickens served as the Fuel's Anthem Singer for three seasons before suddenly passing away on August 12 at the age of 48. In his memory, Eric's family has established the Eric Wickens Memorial Fund, which will help provide for Quincy's college education. Donations can be made at any local Huntington Bank branch or via mail to Huntington Bank, 11640 Olio Road, Fishers, IN 46037.
