Dayton Gems To Distribute Teddy Bears To The Community

During the Gems game against Port Huron on December 6th the team held a Teddy Bear Toss. Over 400 bears were collected by the players and staff to be distributed to the Children's Medical Center, Ronald McDonald House and local law enforcement agencies. Tomorrow at 1pm the Sherriff's department will arrive at Hara to pick up some bears to help comfort kids in stressful situations that the officers encounter. From there the team will head to Ronald McDonald House on Valley Street at 1:30pmand Children's Medical Center to spread cheer and distribute the bears as presents for children that will not be able to spend the holidays at home.

Gems next home game is Wednesday, December 30th at 7pm at Hara. It'll be ring in the New Year so bring your jingle bells and cow bells to help the Gems defeat the Fort Wayne Komets. It'll be another Gems Dollar Beer Night at Hara.

All adult seats $10. Students and children 12 and under $7. Parking at Hara Arena is free.
