November 16, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Dayton Gems News Release
Dayton, OH - The Dayton Gems professional hockey team, proud members of the Central Hockey League, released additional details on the team's upcoming "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Night" promotion, presented by Rave Motion Pictures, set for Thursday, November 17 on Cassano's Italian Ice inside Hara Arena.
While the Gems host rival Bloomington Blaze on the ice, the Gems will be helping fans in the stands get ready for the release of the latest Hollywood adaptation of the ultra-popular Twilight movie franchise. For the first 500 fans through the gates, opening at 6pm, vampire teeth will be given away in honor of the film's lead characters. A number of Twilight-inspired promotions and crowd entertainment segments will continue the theme, featuring exclusive first screening passes to see the Midnight premier of Twilight: Breaking Dawn at the Rave Motion Pictures at The Greene being given away to lucky fans throughout the game.
Joining the crowd to celebrate "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Night" with the Gems on Thursday will be the generous individuals who received a ticket to the game by registering to donate blood last Friday with the Dayton Community Blood Center. In a great sign of community support, 150 people stepped up and received a ticket to the game due to their donation to the blood center.
In addition, Thursday night's game is the first "Thirsty Thursday" of the season, featuring select $1 drafts back by popular demand for those fans 21 or over. College students can also purchase special 2-for-1 tickets with their valid college ID at the Hara Arena box office on gameday.
Tickets for Thursday night are now available by calling the Gems ticket office at 275-7777 or by visiting www.DaytonGems.com. Discounted tickets are also available for groups of ten or more, and include special group perks. Call 275-7777 for details.
