
Evansville Takes #1 Spot on CHL Coaches Poll

GLENDALE, AZ (November 16, 2011) - The Evansville IceMen are the hottest team in the CHL having the only record without a regulation loss and today they were voted the #1 team on the 2011-12 season's first CHL Coaches Poll. The poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month throughout the regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place votes earn 9 points, etc.
Evansville (6-0-1) is currently on a five-game win streak and has gained a point in every single game played this season and have the league's best winning percentage (.929). The IceMen are currently tied for second place in the Turner Conference and in the poll received six of the possible fourteen first place votes (teams are unable to vote for themselves).
Three other teams received first place votes: Wichita (8-2-0), Missouri (7-2-1) and Allen (6-2-2). Wichita fell just one point shy of Evansville's total and received the second most first place votes with four. Missouri received three first place votes and Allen appeared as the top team on one ballot (the Americans have won five straight games).
