
Dayton Bombers Bring Back Key Player as Home Opener Approaches

The Dayton Bombers announced the signing of center Scott Cameron. Cameron is the 12th player signed by the Bombers for the upcoming season and the third returning player. The Bombers will open their home schedule on October 29th at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.
Scott Cameron, a 23 year old native of Valley East, ON, was obtained by the Bombers in a midseason trade with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Last year, he scored 11 goals and 9 assists for 20 points in 23 games with the Bombers. A sixth round draft pick in 1999 of the New Jersey Devils, he played the two previous years with the Cyclones' AHL affiliate in Albany where he totaled 12 goals and 26 assists for 37 points. Last year, he also played 13 games with the Bombers' AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, scoring 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points. Cameron enters his fourth professional season after 3 stellar seasons in the Ontario Hockey League where he scored 75 goals and 97 assists for 172 points.
"We are excited to have Scott back. He is a guy that can play in all situations both offensively and defensively. He has shown that he can be one of the top players in our league as well as someone that can step in and contribute in the AHL. We look for Scott to be a leader on our team and to battle hard to get back to the American Hockey League." added Don MacAdam, Bombers co-owner.
The Dayton Bombers are the proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets and a member of the ECHL - America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
