Overview

On an overcast morning the Stampeders took to the field at McMahon Stadium for a red vs white mock game. The scrimmage started off slow for the offence, however it changed momentum throughout the session. After a couple of plays Burris started connecting with his receivers. Tywan Mitchell was the first, followed by a pass to Copeland and then to newcomer Ken-Yon Rambo. Early in the session Burke Dales kicked a big punt which was caught by Receiver Kenyatta Morgan. Quarterback Jason Gesser followed Burris and completed a series of passes to Martay Jenkins and Ken-Yon Rambo. On the defensive side of the ball, Linebacker Marc Calixte picked up the first interception off a Darnell Kennedy pass. Later in the session, Defensive Back Joey Boese showed his quickness by intercepting a Henry Burris throw. On special teams Sandro DeAngelis showed a very strong leg, connecting on his last two field goal attempts from plus 40 range.
