WINNIPEG, MB â The following is a list of happenings from Day 7 of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' 2005 training camp:
STARS OF THE DAY: WR Simon Blaszczak and the offensive line.
NEW ARRIVALS: OG Junior (Touchdown Maker) Louissaint (6-1, 285, import, Troy State, DOB: Sept. 20, 1982 in Miami, Fla). Scored a TD on a 63-yard fumble recovery Sept. 10, 2004 versus Missouri.
DEPARTURES: DB Marcus Bradley (retired), OT Kendrick Rogers (released) and OG Geoff St. Denis (released).
INJURIES: WR Giles Colon (ankle), WR Elgin Hicks (hamstring), WR Vinny Sutherland (groin) and RB Marvin Townes (groin).
TEAM NEWS: The team will hold its annual Blue and White Scrimmage tomorrow at Canad Inns Stadium starting at about 11:00 a.m. The scrimmage is free to the general public.
OFFICIALS IN TRAINING: 14 amateur football officials from Manitoba and Saskatchewan are participating in a three-day workshop at Canad Inns Stadium with CFL officials that began Friday. The purpose of the workshop is to provide the amateur officials with training and expose them to the differences between the amateur and pro game during Bomber training camp. It's the first time a program like this has been offered in a CFL city.
