Dawgz to battle 'Cats

The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz take on the Florida Firecats, Saturday, March 31st, at Germain Arena in Estero, FL. Kick off is set for 6:30 pm CST. Saturday's contest marks the first time the Yard Dawgz and the Firecats will meet.
With 14 returning members from last year's 11-5 squad and a host of new players, Yard Dawgz Head Coach John Fitzgerald is looking forward to the first game of the season, and his first as a head coach.
"We couldn't ask for a better way to start the season," commented Fitzgerald. "According to the af2 pre-season poll, Florida is rated first in the league, which will give us the opportunity to show how measure against the best the af2 has to offer."
Fitzgerald comes to the Yard Dawgz after quarterbacking the Austin Wranglers of the Arena Football League. The former quarterback spent seven years playing in the AFL, where he led the Carolina Cobras, New Orleans VooDoo, and Austin to the playoffs.
The Yard Dawgz game versus Florida will be broadcast on KTOK AM1000 and online at www.kgff.com.
