David L. Boyle Introduced as President, Handelman Moves to Vice Chairman and CFO

West Haven, CT - The New Haven County Cutters Baseball team announced today that David L. Boyle will now serve as President of the team, replacing current president Rick Handelman who will move to Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer for the Cutters.

Mr. Boyle served as Vice Chairman of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. until his retirement in June 2005. Ambac is a AAA-rated financial guarantor that provides financial guaranty insurance for municipalities and structured finance transactions around the world. Prior to joining Ambac in 1997, Mr. Boyle was a Managing Director at Citibank where he held a number of senior management positions in corporate lending, cash management, electronic banking, and global securities over a 22-year career.

Mr. Boyle currently serves on the boards of Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH) and RAM Reinsurance (a Bermuda-based reinsurance company). Previously, he served as Chairman of the Association of Financial Guaranty Insurers and as a board member of Prep-for-Prep (New York). During his career, Mr. Boyle also served as Chairman of numerous Citicorp and Ambac subsidiaries. A graduate of Wittenberg, he holds an MBA in finance and marketing from The Ohio State University. Mr. Boyle lives in Greenwich, CT, with his wife and two children.

After attending Ithaca College and receiving his MBA from NYU, former president Rick Handelman has been with his family business Meyer Handelman Company since 1978. Rick's involvement with baseball has stemmed from his time representing the owner of the Catskill Cougars where he was involved in all league and business aspects of the team. Handelman has been extremely instrumental in the implementation of the Cutters into New Haven. He is a resident of Scarsdale, NY where he lives with his wife, Joy. They have a daughter Rachel and son Scott.

The Cutters kick off the 2006 season on May 25th as they travel to take on the Brockton Rox. The Cutters will play their home opener on May 29th against 2005 Champion, Worcester Tornadoes.
