David Davis Returns for the 2007 Season

(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers welcome the return of kicker David Davis with open arms! This year will mark Davis' fourth season with the Pioneers. Throughout his time with the team he has been a tremendous asset to the Pioneers both on and off the field.

During the 2006 season, Davis participated in all 16 regular season games and scored a total of 95 points for the Pioneers. In addition, he made 83 of 97 PAT's and completed 114 kickoffs for a total of 6,179 yards. Davis holds a Pioneers team record for most field goals in team history with a total of 23.

Davis is a Pioneers fan favorite not only because of performance on the field, but for his involvement with local communities as well. He has voluntarily participated in various community events ranging from school visits, reading rallies, and parades.

"I am very excited to be back with the guys on the team and the great fans of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area," stated Davis when asked about returning to the Pioneers.

"I strongly feel David is one of the best kickers in the af2," remarked head coach Rich Ingold. "I am very ecstatic to have him on this team and we are very fortunate to have him for the 2007 season."

The Pioneers appreciate Davis' selfless dedication, and look forward to supporting his future contributions and professional accomplishments.
