Wolves Gearing Up For Clash With Conquest

Manchester Wolves fans won't have to wait until the April 21 home opener on Brady Sullivan Field against the Fort Wayne Fusion to see their Wolves, New Hampshire's professional arenafootball2 team, in action. All fans and media are invited to attend the Wolves' second-ever arenafootball2 jamboree tomorrow, March 21, as the Wolves, Milford Mustangs and Hampshire Hills Sports & Fitness Center present Fan Fest '07 at the Hampshire Dome (50 Emerson Rd.) in Milford, N.H.
Fans will see exciting pre-season action starting at 5:30 p.m. till roughly 7:30 p.m., as the Wolves host East Division rival Albany Conquest in a scrimmage. New quarterbacks Shawn Brady and Brian Zbydniewski will make their debuts for the Wolves, when Manchester takes the field, in efforts to make their case for the starting role. For most of the players on the training camp roster this will be their last chance to impress Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett and company before final cuts are made on Thursday, March 22.
"This will be a good opportunity for us to beat up on somebody else," said Bennett about the two-team scrimmage. "It'll also be a good measuring stick to see how quickly we can gel and allow us to weed out the guys on the bubble for our final cut. For both Brady and Zbydniewski, this is their opportunity to showcase their skills and distance themselves from each other in their battle for the starting quarterback role of this team for 2007. "
Fan Fest '07 is FREE to the public and will feature Blitz the mascot along with the first appearance and performances by the 2007 Manchester Wolves Lady Wolf Pack dance team since they were formed in February!
The Wolves will be entering their fourth season in Manchester playing on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena with the 2007 season kicking off on March 31, against East Division rival Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers and the home opener in Manchester, N.H. on April 21, against the Fort Wayne Fusion at 7:05pm.
