Manchester Wolves News Release
"FAN FEST", SEASON TICKET HOLDER PARTY, INDIVIDUAL TICKETS AND "LADIES NIGHT" ALL IN NEAR FUTURE...
FAN FEST '07 - MARCH 21, 5:30-7:30pm at the Hampshire Dome!
...........................................................................................
Fan Fest '07 Will Feature Wolves' Second-Ever Two Team af2 Jamboree
Manchester Wolves fans won't have to wait until the April 21 home opener on Brady Sullivan Field against the Fort Wayne Fusion to see their Wolves, New Hampshire's professional arenafootball2 team, in action. All fans are invited to attend the Wolves' second-ever arenafootball2 jamboree tomorrow night, March 21, as the Wolves, Milford Mustangs and Hampshire Hills Sports & Fitness Center present Fan Fest '07 at the Hampshire Dome (50 Emerson Rd.) in Milford, N.H.
Fans will see exciting pre-season action starting at 5:30 p.m. till roughly 7:30 p.m., as the Wolves host division rival Albany Conquest in a scrimmage. New quarterbacks Shawn Brady and Brian Zbydniewski will make their debuts for the Wolves, when Manchester takes the field, in efforts to make their case for the starting role. For most of the players on the training camp roster this will be their last chance to impress Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett and company before final cuts are made on March 22.
"This will be a good opportunity for us to beat up on somebody else," said Bennett about the two-team scrimmage. "It'll also be a good measuring stick to see how quickly we can gel and allow us to weed out the guys on the bubble for our final cut. For both Brady and Zbydniewski, this is their opportunity to showcase their skills and distance themselves from each other in their battle for the starting quarterback role of this team for 2007. "
The 2007 Lady Wolf Pack dance team will also be on hand for their first public appearance as a team since being formed in late February. The Lady Wolf Pack, who'll be accompanied by their new mode of transportation thanks to Racing Limos of NH and Mass, was twice voted the league's third best dance team along with being named the Best New Hampshire Dance Team for 2005 by NH Magazine. Blitz, the Wolves animated mascot, will also be on hand to entertain and amuse the crowd with his usual antics. For the first time ever Blitz's new official vehicle, compliments of MTS Associates, will be on display and announced as well!
Fan Fest '07 is FREE to the public and will feature chances for fans to win some great Wolves and Mustang prize packs. The Mustangs Youth Football Team will hold raffles throughout the event, giving away a pair of Wolves season tickets, Wolves and Mustang merchandise and much more. Everyone will be a winner though, as the Wolves players, Lady Wolf Pack members and Blitz will be available to meet the fans during and after the pre-season tilt. So, fans are encouraged to bring pens or markers to have their Wolves memorabilia autographed!
Fan Fest '07 will be a fun-filled night for the whole family, so don't forget to bring the children, as there will be games on hand for them to play! Also Wolves fans, if you haven't signed up for the Manchester Wolves Cub Club, you can do so at the event or online at www.manchesterwolves.com. It's only $15 to be a Cub Club member, and just $12 to renew if you were a member last year!
The Hampshire Dome is a 94,000 thousand plus square foot arena that's covered by an air supported 70ft high roof. The brand new Hampshire Dome does not have seating, so fans are asked to bring their own chairs. For directions to the dome, visit www.hampshirehills.com.
The Milford Mustangs Youth Football and Cheerleading Association is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that was formed in December of 2005 and is open to boys and girls between the ages of 7-15 who reside in Milford, Wilton, Lyndeborough and other local communities.
"On behalf of the Milford Mustangs, I would like to express our appreciation to the Manchester Wolves and state that we are honored to be partnering with them in bringing this event to our hometown of Milford. As a new organization, we are constantly looking for opportunities to introduce ourselves to the community as well as generate interest in youth football and cheerleading," said Mustangs President Ed Palladino. "Being able to co-sponsor an event like this will accomplish these goals on a grand scale. We believe that Fan Fest will be a fun, exciting and rewarding event for us, the Wolves, Hampshire Hills and most importantly, the youth within our community. We look forward to making Fan Fest 2007 a huge success."
