Green Bay Blizzard News Release
Former Blizzard defensive back David Crocker has re-signed with the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League. Crocker signed a three-year deal; the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
During his two seasons with the Blizzard, Crocker had 146 tackles, 5 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. In 2006 he was named to the All-af2 Second Team for his efforts in leading the fourth overall defense in the league.
"It's great to see players from the Blizzard organization have great success at the next level," comments Blizzard Head Coach Doug Lytle. "It's a testament to the player's abilities when a team wants to renegotiate and keep him around for years to come."
Crocker will enter his second season with the Force, who made it to the National Conference Championship where they lost to the Columbus Destroyers 56-66. Crocker was simply trying to learn the game better in his rookie season in the AFL.
"This year was a learning experience for me. In the AFL you are playing against seasoned veterans who have been playing arena football for many years," said David Crocker.
Crocker attributes his success in arena football to the coaches in Green Bay.
"The coaches in Green Bay have prepared me and put me in the right position to succeed immediately," replies Crocker. "Coach Landsee and Lytle both played at the next level. They know what it takes to get there and that is what they teach."
