Dashers Release Inaugural Schedule

Danville Dashers News Release
Danville, Illinois- The Danville Dashers will begin the Inaugural 2011-2012 season hosting the Thousand Islands Privateers on Friday, October 29th at 7:05 pm at the
David S. Palmer Arena. The 53 game season is comprised of 26 home and 27 away games. Individual season and group packages go on sale August 15th, 2011 at the Palmer Arena Box Office, by phone at (877) 77-CLICK, or at www.palmerarena.com
Via the FHL the 53 game FHL season will be highlighted with each team playing one game in Lewiston, Maine. The games will be held at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, the former home of The Lewiston Maineiacs of the QMJHL. Jim Cain, Rink Manager at the Colisee, was very instrumental in bringing these games to Lewiston.
The Federal Hockey League is a single "A" professional league. The FHL takes to the ice for their second season this October. The FHL played it's first season with six teams. This season the New Jersey Outlaws will accompany the Danville Dashers as expansion teams for our eight team league.
The Dashers will play their home games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Start times will be 7:05 pm on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday games starting at 2:05 pm. In addition, the start time of the December 31st, New Years Eve, will be 5:05 pm.
Join Head Coach / General Manager Scott Beneke in bringing pro hockey back to Danville. The stars of tomorrow playing here today.
