Dashers Ink Deal with 107.1 WPGU

Danville, IL - The Danville Dashers are proud to announce a partnership with 107.1 WPGU FM. The agreement will have the station broadcast 38 of the teams 56 games during the 2018-2019 season, while the Dashers will provide training to U of I communication students in broadcasting.
"This is a great opportunity for the Dashers to get the team more exposure in a bigger market like Champaign." said Director of Communications Marcus Grasenick. "Being able to give students an opportunity to help and work with a pro hockey team, will give them great experience moving forward in their careers."
107.1 WPGU FM is a student run radio station on the campus of the University of Illinois, and is also home of the University's ACHA Division 1 Hockey team. "Quote from Nicholas" The team will begin its 2018-2019 campaign on Oct 26th as they welcome in the Elmira Enforcers. Both games opening week will be on 107.1 WPGU and streaming on the FHL Broadcast Network.
