Darcy Campbell Returns to Chicago

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that D Darcy Campbell has returned from the Oklahoma City Barons, while D Brett Motherwell has been loaned to Springfield (AHL).

Campbell has returned from the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons, his third trip to the AHL this season. Campbell played in two games with the Barons, collecting two penalty minutes. The Airdrie, Alberta, native has played in 26 games for the Chicago Express this season, scoring 18 points on two goals and 16 assists. Campbell earned his 100th North American professional point on Friday, December 9, with a first period assist against the Kalamazoo Wings.

Motherwell has been loaned to the Springfield Falcons, marking his first trip to the AHL this year. The fifth year pro has played 129 career AHL games, including 60 with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last y ear, where he scored four goals and 14 assists for 18 points. With Chicago this season, Motherwell has collected four assists in 14 games.

The Express play two more games away from home, before returning to the Sears Centre Arena on Wednesday, January 25, Saturday, January 28, and Sunday, January 29, against the Cincinnati Cyclones.
