
Danville Braves Raise More Than 900 Pounds of Food for GodâÃâ¬Ãâ¢s Storehouse

DANVILLE, VA - The Danville Braves partnered with God's Storehouse again this season in an effort to raise food and money to help those in need. This year the Danville Braves asked fans to donate food or money to this worthy cause, and during the week of July 28 raised more than 970 lbs. of food and over $100 in donations.
The Danville Braves have partnered with God's Storehouse for the past several years. God's Storehouse began as a result of Hunger Awareness Day in 1987, and was started by a group of pastors who met at Danville's Averett University. God's Storehouse is a non-profit food pantry organization that pools together funds and food donations to help those in need in Danville and the Pittsylvania County area.
More information on God's Storehouse can be found on godsstorehouse.org, or by calling (434)-793-3663. Donations can be made online, and larger donations can be made by calling. Suggested donations can be found under "Make a Donation", found under the "How to Help" tab seen on the homepage.
