Last Night... Chase Larsson played the hero again in last night's 3-2 win over the Twins...The Braves extended their winning streak to five games and swept Elizabethton to put them in second in the Appalachian League East Division...In the second, Billy Beckwith singled and was later brought home on a Larsson double to right field...The Braves scored again in the fourth inning with the help of Larsson too...After walking, Larsson stole his fourth base of the year and then advanced to third when Matt Parker tried to throw him out on the steal and instead threw the ball into the outfield...Sam Munson singled to center field to score Larsson and give the Braves a 2-0 lead...After retiring 11 straight batters, Danville starter, JR Graham, gave up a single to Eddie Rosario...Rosario stole second and later scored on a line drive base hit by Miguel Sano...The Twins scored one more run to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth inning...In the top of the sixth, Larsson gave the D-Braves all he needed when he homered for his third game in a row and gave the team a 3-2 lead...Graham got the win, AJ Holland pitched three innings for Danville and struck out nine batters...Daniel Lopez got his second save of the season...Danville pitchers struck out a season-high 19.

Winning Ways... The D-Braves extended their winning streak last night to five games in a 3-2 win over the Twins...The streak is the longest such streak for Danville in 2011... The streak has helped Danville get over the .500 hump they were struggling with and they now are four games above .500...The team moved into second place last night in the division, now just a game and a half out of the first, behind the Bluefield Blue Jays ...Bluefield is on a four game win streak...Last night, Danville pitchers stuck out a total of 19 batters, setting a new season high.

Larsson...Chase Larsson has hit five homeruns in his last eight games...Last night was the third straight night that Chase connected for a homerun against the Twins...Three of the homeruns have been game winners... Since his two homerun night on July 22, Larsson's average is .370 with 12 RBIs and five homeruns...He has stuck out just twice in that span.

Bristol...The White Sox are currently in fourth place in the Appy League West with a 17-21 record...They stand eight games out of first...The team just lost a three game set 2-1 at Johnson City and were swept by the Kingsport Mets before that...The team is currenly batting .256 as a team with 28 total homeruns...They are third to last in the league with a 5.07 ERA.
