
Daniel Watts signs with Steelheads

Gary, IN: The Gary Steelheads announced today the signing of Daniel Watts to a contract for the remainder of the 2004-2005 season. Per team policy, terms of the contract are confidential.
Watts is no stranger to the CBA, having played last season in Great Lakes. He averaged 10.2 ppg. and 7.2 rpg. for the Storm over a 43 game span. Watts also blocked a league high 76 shots, with nine of those blocks occurred against Gary on February 11th of 2004. The nine blocks was a CBA season high in the 2003-2004 season. Watts has also seen time in Finland, Japan, Italy and in the USBL with the Dodge City Legend.
"We are very happy to be able to bring in someone the caliber of Daniel Watts," said Head Coach Duane Ticknor. "He is a solid and valuable professional who gives us an additional rebounding and shot blocking presence. With four games in five nights coming up, he will be thrown into action quickly and we know he will be able to contribute immediately for us."
