Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The final round of the Shock Dance Team Tryouts will be held tomorrow, Thursday, March 6, at the Big Easy Concert House in downtown Spokane.
Dancers will be auditioning in front of a live audience and local celebrity judges. The show starts at 8 PM and is open to all ages with a $5 admission fee. The Big Easy will open its doors at 7 PM and tickets can be purchased upon entry.
The finalists will perform a routine in groups of three to Flo Rida's song, Low, taught to them during preliminary tryouts by Maggie Cahalan, this year's Dance Team Director. Individual 30-second routines will also be performed by each dancer to original choreography and music of their choice.
Cahalan will be available for interviews upon request.
Backgrounder: The preliminary round of tryouts was held Saturday morning, March 23, at the Shock Center. More than sixty women attended the open tryout, with less than thirty proceeding to tomorrow's final round.
"I am looking forward to seeing all of our Shock fans tomorrow night," Cahalan said. "We have a very talented group of women and we have some tough decisions to make - I am sure the girls will put on a great show," said Cahalan.
At the conclusion of the evening, the 2008 Shock Dance Team Members will be introduced to the live audience. Head Coach Adam Shackleford and members of the 2008 Spokane Shock will be in attendance.
