Portland Lumberjax News Release
PORTLAND, February 5, 2008 - Portland LumberJax forwards Dan Dawson and Peter Morgan are up for sale and are prepared to go to the highest bidder. As part of 105.1 the Buzz's "Valentine's Day for the Children's Cancer Association", both members of the Jax will be auctioned off for a dinner date on Thursday, February 7 during the 28-hour radio marathon to benefit the local charity.
One of the featured items that listeners can bid on is the "LumberJax Date Night". Two lucky winners will be setup on a dinner date with Dawson and P. Morgan, courtesy of McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurants. Then, winners will be given two VIP tickets to the Sunday, February 17 game against the Edmonton Rush at 3 p.m. To watch the game in style, two autographed 2007 All-Star jerseys will be provided.
Last year in February of 2007, the top-rated morning show "Nelson and Terry" went live for 28 straight hours to raise money for the CCA. This year, the two local DJ's will be on the same schedule as they attempt to raise even more money than last year's total of $340,000.
