Arlington, TX - The Dallas Wings have waived guard Veronica Burton, the team announced today. With the transaction, the Wings have finalized their opening day roster.
Burton was drafted by the Wings seventh overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft. Over the past two seasons, she appeared in 76 regular season games, making 19 starts, while averaging 2.5 points and 2.1 assists per game.
The Dallas Wings open the 2024 regular season on May 15 at home against the Chicago Sky. Tipoff from a sold-out College Park Center in Arlington is slated for 7 p.m. CT, with the game airing on Bally Sports Southwest Extra and streaming on WNBA League Pass.
