Dallas Wings International Update
November 4, 2020 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) - Dallas Wings News Release
Arike Ogunbowale
Ogunbowale and Dynamo Kursk didn't show any rust returning to play after a couple of weeks off, as they defeated Dynamo M 103-56 and Sparta&K 96-48 to remain undefeated at 4-0. Ogunbowale continued her consistent scoring, dropping 18 and 20 points respectively, and the Impressive Irish scoring machine has scored .84 points per minute played since heading to Russia.
Megan Gustafson
Gustafson celebrated returning from injury by throwing a block party in a dominating 118-32 win over Torun. The Iowa Icon dropped 23 points while grabbing 18 rebounds, her first double-double overseas this season, and swatting away a career-high six shots.
Katie Lou Samuelson
The Owls and Samuelson continue to be the unstoppable force from Spain, defeating IDK Eustotren 84-66 and Gernika 72-64 to push themselves to an impressive 8-0 to start the season. Since heading overseas, Samuelson has made at least one bucket in all eight games, and she continues to be a consistent scorer for Avenidas, averaging 14.5 points per game.
Satou Sabally
Sabally scored another 19 points, just below her overseas average, to help move Fenerbahce to 7-0 on the season with an 82-60 win over Elazig. The Outstanding Oregonian continues to stuff the stat sheet, as she is averaging 8.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and almost a block per game since playing in Turkey to go along with her 19.3 points per game.
Tyasha Harris
Harris was finally rewarded for her constant outstanding play by pushing Kayseri to their first win, an 80-79 win over Ormanspor. Harris played all 40 minutes for the fifth consecutive game, and she has averaged more than 40 mins played per game since heading overseas. Her minutes reflect her coach's difficulty in getting the Gamecock Great off the floor, as she is averaging 20.3 points and 6.7 assists per game.
