Allen, TX - The Dallas Sidekicks have re-signed goalkeeper, Juan Gamboa. Gamboa received 2nd Team All-MASL Honors in the 2021-2022 MASL Season and has been with the Sidekicks for six seasons.

Gamboa has played 98 games for the Sidekicks and is chasing former Sidekicks goalkeeper Sagu who has 136 games played.

Last season, Gamboa played in 20 games with a record of 11-7-1 and made 264 saves. He posted a 71% save percentage for the regular season.

Gamboa's leadership and great goalkeeping helped the Sidekicks go to the MASL 2021-2022 Playoffs for the first time since the 2014-2015 season. During the playoffs, Gamboa had 35 saves and posted a 72.9% save percentage.

Outside of the Dallas Sidekicks, Gamboa is a Spanish teacher and is the Boys Soccer Head Coach at Anna High School. He is also the Founder and CEO of Gometta Sports, a goalkeeper glove company.

"My goal for this upcoming season is to provide the best support for the team to the best of my abilities and help the team win as many games as we can," said Gamboa.

Sidekicks General Manager, Jessie Vilkofsky, had Gamboa as one of her top priorities to lock in for the next seasons to come. "Juan brings confidence, trust, and influential leadership on and off the field that provides our team with strength and stability to succeed," said Vilkofsky.

"Gamboa represents what it means to be a part of the Dallas Sidekicks organization and represent us as a Sidekicks player because of his passion for the game, passion for the community, and being an all-around well-rounded person," Vilkofsky commented.
