Allen, Texas (Nov. 15, 2014) - The Dallas Sidekicks (3-1) defeated the Brownsville Barracudas 14-2 Saturday night at Allen Event Center, a relentless bout of offense that saw nine Sidekicks net goals. Forward Freddy Moojen complete his first hat trick with Dallas, sidelined by an injury for the first two games of the season.

Moojen opened scoring in the first quarter at 4:03. Brownsville's Ismael Pineda tied the game shortly after, but 18 seconds later Cameron brown took back the lead for the Sidekicks, followed by a goal from Jamie Lovegrove. The Barracudas were the next to score, but that was it for Brownsville, the Sidekicks going on to score six consecutive goals in the half. Forward Carlos Videla beat Brownsville goalkeeper Fidel Garcia on a breakaway, followed by Cody Ellis with his first of the season, Shaun David with his third and Angel Rivillo with his second. Moojen and Rivillo each added their second of the night to put the Sidekicks up 9-2 going into halftime.

The Sidekicks continued their momentum into the second half, scoring five more goals and keeper Sagu allowing none. Videla kicked off the third quarter with a goal, the third Sidekick of the night two score two. Defender Fabinho and midfielder Ricardinho also contributed Sidekick goals in the quarter. Dallas totaled three goals in the last 15 minutes of play from Ricardinho, Moojen (completing the hat trick) and Brown to take the win 14-2.

The Sidekicks hit the road next weekend for a back-to-back pair of games. Tulsa (1-1) is the destination on Saturday, Nov 22 when Dallas takes on the Revolution for the first time this season at 7 p.m. Last season the Sidekicks swept the series between the two teams 4-0, outscoring Tulsa 41-21. That night the Sidekicks will head up to Wichita (1-1), where they will face the Wichita B-52s on Sunday at 3 p.m. The two teams have already met once this season, a back-and-forth brawl that saw the Sidekicks slide out on top 6-7. The team is back at Allen Event Center on Saturday, Dec 6 when they host the Hidalgo La Fiera at 7 p.m.

It is Parade of Teams night, where all youth soccer organizations are invited to walk the field during halftime.
