
Dallas Sidekicks Announce the Signing of 4 Players

(ALLEN, TEXAS) The Dallas Sidekicks have officially signed Carlos Videla, Fernando Cortes, Jonathan Segura, and Anthony Powell for the 2018-2019 Major Arena Soccer League season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Forward Carlos Videla has played three seasons for the Sidekicks in both the Premiere Arena Soccer League and the MASL. Videla played three years of varsity high school soccer for JJ Pearce High School and two years of college soccer for Richland College. He won the District MVP during his senior year of high school and was a high school All-American. He is currently a skills coach at The Pit along with several other members of the 2018-2019 roster.
Fernando Cortes is a goalkeeper and has played for the Colombian National team along with playing in college. He is a Florida native and although this is his first season in the MASL, he will be able to hone his skills for the MASL from seasoned veteran Juan Gamboa.
Defender Jonathon Segura was signed from the first round of invitational tryouts in April of 2018. This is his first season in the MASL, however, he played club soccer in the DFW area with various Dallas Developmental Academy clubs.
Forward Anthony Powell played high school soccer at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller, Texas where he was offensive player of the year in 2014. He stayed in Texas for college and played at Hill College in Cleburne, Texas.
The Sidekicks first preseason game is FREE to the public on Nov. 17th at 7.00 PM CT at the Allen Event Center. Their first home game of the regular season is December 15, 2018 at 7.00 PM CT at the Allen Event Center.
