Dallas Sidekicks Announce Full 2016-17 Season Roster

Allen, TX - Today the Dallas Sidekicks announced the team's full roster for the upcoming 2016-17 Major Arena Soccer League season. It features 25 players, a mixture of veterans, and several young, local rookies looking to break into the professional game.
The Sidekicks will be looking to veterans such as Fabinho, Cody Ellis, Mike Jones, Cameron Brown, Kiley Couch and Jamie Lovegrove for leadership this year. Since 2012, Couch has appeared in over 44 games, scoring 8 goals, while assisting 23 goals and blocked 58.
Ellis once again anchored Dallas' defense last year, leading the team in blocks (21) and shots (80) on top of his 17 goals scored. Cameron Brown and Cody Ellis were both named as honorable mention selections to the MASL's 2015-16 all-league team.
The midfield will be largely controlled by veterans including, Ricardinho, Cameron Brown, RJ Luevano and Jamie Lovegrove. Last season, Cameron Brown led the team in scoring with 26 goals. A proven playmaker, Luevano has been a steady force in the midfield, setting up his forwards and keeping up continuous communications with his defenders. RJ Luevano lead the team in assists last season with 13.
The Sidekicks will have a plethora of experience in goal this season, by bringing back Juan Gamboa. Gamboa's GAA last year was a 6.17. In 15 of the club's regular season matches, Gamboa recorded over 885 minutes and 358 saves. This off-season the team signed Eduardo "Choco" Macias for the 2016-17 Major Arena Soccer League season. Eduardo Macias was recently called into the latest US Futsal camp by National Team head coach Keith Tozer. Macias was the youngest player to have been selected out of the 24 men into the 14 that represented United States in the World Cup Qualifiers against Costa Rica.
