
Dallas Sidekicks Add Two More Players

(ALLEN, TEXAS) The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of two more players for the 2020-21 Major Arena Soccer League season. Midfielder Oscar Romero and defender Brian Rodrigues both inked deals this week. As per team and league policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Oscar Romero played with North Texas SC and helped lead the FC Dallas USL club to the League One Title in their first year participating. Romero has also played in Mexico for UNAM Premier along with Inter Playa del Carmen who both play in the Liga Premier - Serie A. The talented midfielder scored five goals in 22 appearances with North Texas SC, three goals in 13 games with UNAM and six goals in 19 games with Inter Playa del Carmen.
Born in Florida but raised in Dallas, Romero played for the FC Dallas Academy for three seasons beginning in 2013. During the 2015 season, he scored 11 goals in 26 games for the U-18 Academy team.
Brian Rodrigues is a defender who shined in the Dallas Sidekicks college combines. Quiet and hard working, Brian earned a roster spot by getting better every week in practice. "The coaching staff is excited to add Brian as a homegrown player to develop," said Dallas Sidekicks General Manager Jesse Llamas. "Adding Brian and Oscar adds quality depth to the roster with the season quickly approaching."
