Dakota Wizards Hit The Road One More Time This Season

Bismarck, ND May 14, 2008: The NBA Development League's Central Division Champion Dakota Wizards announced today they have partnered with Scheels, Cottingham Insurance and Touchstone Electric Cooperative to host a series of basketball camps throughout the area this summer, the first to be held in Underwood and Beulah during the month of June.
"We have a great fan base outside of Bismarck who really support us" said Wizards General Manager Tom Wagganer. "When the opportunity came for us to host a few camps in these towns it was an easy decision".
Wizards coach Duane Ticknor and a few current and former Wizards players are scheduled to be on hand to help facilitate the camps that are open to boys and girls of various ages. For a fee of $50, each camper will participate in daily full-court games as well as competing for daily and weekly contests and awards. Each camper will also receive an official camp T-shirt and a ticket to the Wizards 2008-09 home opener. Each camp session is limited to only 40 participants to allow youth an opportunity for as much individualized instruction from the coaching staff throughout the week to provide a maximum learning environment.
The Underwood camp will be conducted at Underwood High School from Monday, June 16th through Thursday, June 19th. The morning session (9am - 12pm) is for boys and girls in 1-6th grades and the afternoon session (1pm - 4pm) is for boys and girls grades 7-12. The deadline for the Underwood camp is June 11, 2008 and campers are encouraged to visit local camp sponsors North Country Bank, Coal Creek, Falkirk Mine and Mclean Electric Cooperative to pick up a registration form and receive a discount on camp registration fees.
The camp in Beulah will be the following week, Monday June 23rd through Wednesday, June 25th at Beulah High School. The morning session is for boys and girls in 1st - 5th grade and runs from 9am - 12pm and the afternoon session (1pm - 4pm) is for boys and girls in grades 6th - 9th. The Beulah camp registration deadline is June 18th and is sponsored locally by Beulah Lock & Lumber, Farmers Union Insurance - Gary & Wade Murray, Pizza Ranch, Bronson's SuperValu, Dakota Westmoreland, Otter Tail - Coyote Station, Coteau Properties and Roughrider Electric Cooperative. Registration forms and a discount are available by visiting each of our local sponsors.
The Wizards are currently looking at hosting additional camps and clinics throughout the summer at various sites throughout North Dakota. More information will be available once additional dates and locations are confirmed.
