
Dakota Continues Relationship with Grizzlies and Wizards

Bismarck, ND June 11, 2008: The NBA Development League's Central Division Champion Dakota Wizards announced today that they will be affiliated with the Memphis Grizzlies for the second straight season and the Washington Wizards for their third straight season.
"We are excited to be affiliated with these two teams once again"' said Dakota Wizards General Manger Tom Wagganer. "With our affiliates having three selections in the first round, draft night will be exciting to watch and see if perhaps those players will play here in Bismarck".
The Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies have yet to utilize Dakota on an assignment player basis, but the input from the coaching staff along with the front office affiliation has been fruitful one for all organizations.
"The Grizzlies are excited that our affiliation with the Dakota Wizards has been extended," said Memphis Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace. "The Wizards are a great organization and Bismarck has proven to be one of the best markets in the NBA D-League."
"We have enjoyed a great relationship with the Dakota Wizards as our affiliate and a great relationship with the D-League overall," said Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld. "We continue to look to them as a resource for talent and as a way to help our players develop."
