Montreal Alouettes News Release
St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, June 15, 2009 - The following is the daily report from the Alouettes' training camp for Day 9.
Prepping for pre-season Game A
The team practiced indoors at the Stade Haut-Richelieu today, as they ran their last full drills in preparation for their first pre-season game in Toronto on Wednesday (CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM).
Changes
The Alouettes added import centre Robbie Powell to the lineup, while releasing tackle Josh Thompson.
According to Martin Bédard
"We've been simulating game situations in practice, but there's nothing like an actual game to see where you stand. I'm pumped to be put to the test against a real team and get some hitting done!"
According to Coach Trestman
"After a week at training camp we had the chance to learn more about our players and coaches. We are excited about the game, but it's important that we never forget that we are in a building process. The game is part of training camp.
