'Dads Split Sunday's Games against Greensboro

Hickory, NC - The 'Dads split two games against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Sunday evening. The Crawdads fell 9-4 in the continuation of a suspended game but took the second game 4-2.
The 'Dads and Grasshoppers resumed last night's paused game in the middle of the fourth inning. The game had been suspended for player safety following a rain delay. At the time the game was suspended, the 'Dads were trailing 7-2.
The Crawdads picked up a run in the fourth inning on Tyler Ratliff's single.
The Grasshoppers added a run in the fifth and seventh innings. They won the game 9-4 over the 'Dads.
The Grasshoppers got on the board first in the second game, scoring a run in the first. They scored another run in the second to take a two-run lead.
The 'Dads bats fought back to take the lead in the fourth. Preston Scott led off the inning with a double to right. Tyreque Reed singled to advance him to third but was caught on the bases as he tried to advance to second. Sam Huff brought Scott in to score on a grounder to third. Clay Middleton kept the rally going with a single to center. Tyler Ratliff gave the 'Dads a 3-2 lead with a two-run homer, his fifth homerun of the season.
'Dads starting pitcher Alex Eubanks pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up two runs, six hits, and striking out four. He picked up his fifth win of the season.
The Crawdads added an insurance run in the sixth to push the score to 4-2. Reed got things started for the 'Dads with a leadoff single. Justin Jacobs came in to pinch run for Reed and advanced to second on a fly out. Middleton reached second on a fielder's choice as the Grasshoppers tagged Jacobs out as he tried to advance to third. Yonny Hernandez singled in the next at bat to bring Middleton around to score.
The 'Dads shut down the Grasshoppers in the seventh inning to seal a 4-2 victory.
The series will continue tomorrow night with Fact or Fiction Night. Fans who dress up will receive a free ticket to the game. It is also Make a Difference Monday presented by Catawba Shoe Store. Fans that donate school supplies (at least a $5 value) for the Boys and Girls Club will receive a free ticket.
