D-Fenders Defeat Stampede

LOS ANGELES, California - Durrell Summers had 22 points, seven rebounds and two steals but the Idaho Stampede fell to the Los Angeles D-Fenders 98-94. Idaho (1-10) shot just 39.6 percent in the loss, including a 4-of-15 performance from the three-point line.

Los Angeles (5-4) trailed by as many as 15 and by 12 at the half, but came back to outscore the Stampede 32-17 in the third quarter. Gary Flowers led the way for the D-Fenders with 25 points, four assists, three rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Jamario Moon had nine points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three blocks while Jarrid Famous had 17 points, five rebounds and three blocks.

Idaho out-rebounded Los Angeles 53-36 and made 18-of-20 free throws and had four other players score in double-figures, including Sean Evans, who had 10 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Justin Holiday had 19 points and nine rebounds and Josh Owens added 10 points and nine rebounds. Coby Karl had 134 points and seven assists for Idaho, who plays again on December 26 at home against Maine.
