
D-Fenders Acquire Elijah Millsap

EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders have acquired guard Elijah Millsap, it was announced today by General Manager Nick Mazzella.
Millsap (6'6" / 215) spent the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons with the D-Fenders, posting averages of 18.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.9 steals in 85 appearances (70 starts). The Louisiana native led the D-Fenders in points per game and earned All NBA D-League Second Team honors during the 2011-12 season in which Los Angeles reached the NBA D-League finals. Prior to joining the D-Fenders, Millsap spent the 2010-11 season with the Tulsa 66ers, of the NBA D-League, earning All NBA D-League Rookie Second Team honors. Most recently, he spent time with Maccabi Ashdod, of the Israeli Superleague.
Millsap played two seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette before transferring to Alabama-Birmingham for his Junior season (2009-10). In his lone season with the Blazers, Millsap averaged 16.1 points, 9.5 rebounds (1st in Conference-USA), 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 34 games.
