D-Braves To Set Up Speed Pitch Wed. at Danville Science Center

DANVILLE, VA- The Danville Braves will have their speed-pitch booth displayed on Wednesday, July 30 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Danville Science Center.

The Science Center will be hosting an event entitled Speed of Sports in which kids and adults can compete in various sport-themed competitions and check their speeds. From fast pitch games to bat races, the Science Center wants visitors to find out how fast and accurate they really are.

The D-Braves return to action Wednesday evening for a three-game series vs. the Pulaski Mariners. On Thursday, Back to Bogie's will sponsor "Thirsty Thursday" at the ballpark, with discounted draft and fountain drinks. The team will close out their homestand on Friday, Aug. 1 with AT&T Night. At&T will give out free T-Shirts to the first 500 fans who enter the gate, and the team will be hosting a ticket drawing for a chance to go to Atlanta for two nights to watch the Atlanta Braves play. All games start at 7 p.m. and gates open at 6.
