2006 SEASON JUST WEEKS AWAY: The Cyclones' season kicks off on Tuesday, June 20th, with an Opening Day showdown against the Staten Island Yankees, and Brooklyn fans will -- as always -- enjoy 38 thrilling home games at KeySpan Park. In addition to the great baseball on the field, there are giveaways, surprises, special guests, and one-of-a-kind entertainment all summer long.

ST. LUCIE STARS: Five former Cyclones -- who all played for Brooklyn in 2004 -- were recently named to the Florida State League All-Star Team. Ambiorix Concepcion, Michael Devaney, Corey Coles, Carlos Muniz, and Jesus Flores (not pictured) are all currently playing for the St. Lucie Mets this season.

Muniz, a right-handed pitcher, is 2-2 with a 3.60 ERA. Fellow right-hander Devaney is 4-3 with a 2.29 ERA. Flores, one of three catchers selected, has hit .244 with 33 RBIs and leads his team with eight home runs. Concepcion, who is hitting .320 with 23 RBIs, has hit 19 doubles and has yet to commit a fielding error. Also, Coles has 56 hits and is batting .318.

KEPPEL SET TO START: RHP Bobby Keppel is set to make the first start of his Major League career on Friday night against the Seattle Mariners. Entering last Thursday's game in relief for the Royals in his debut, Keppel tossed 3.1 innings against the first-place Detroit Tigers, and allowed just one run on two hits, while striking out 4.

Keppel kicked off the '03 season for Brooklyn as the starting pitcher in both the team's first game of the year (6/18) and the home opener (6/23). In Brooklyn as part of a rehab assignment, he made one other start (6/28) before being re-assigned to Binghamton (AA). Keppel was 2-0 for the Cyclones with a 2.51 ERA. In 14.1 innings, he allowed 10 hits, five runs, four earned, and two walks, while striking out 13.
