Cyclones Add Defenseman Jeff Cameron

July 18, 2006 - SPHL (SPHL)
Twin City Cyclones News Release

Mark Richards, Head Coach and General Manager of the Pee Dee Cyclones, has announced the addition of defenseman Jeff Cameron to the Cyclones' 2006-07 roster. "I'm looking for Jeff (Cameron) to really anchor our defense for the upcoming season. Defense is one of the main areas which we wanted to improve upon, and I think he can help us with that with his higher-level experience," commented Coach Richards.

Cameron, originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, played last season with the United Hockey League's (UHL) Port Huron Flags where he posted a total of 103 penalty minutes in 25 games played. The 6'-1" 215 pound blue-liner has played in the ECHL and CHL, as well.

The Cyclones will not be the twenty-four year old's first appearance in the SPHL; during the 2004-05 season, Cameron played for the Columbus Cottonmouths.
