Jacksonville Barracudas News Release
VIAZANICA SET TO RETURN
Martin Viazanica has signed with the Barracudas and is looking forward to starting his second season of hockey in Jacksonville. The 6'2, 200 pound 25 year old from Slovakia ended last season with 4 goals, 12 assists and 36 PIM in 28 games, and playing a steady two-way game that endeared him to Barracudas management.
While living in Slovakia, Viazanica played for the Dukla Trencin and the Poprad HC KP, each for two seasons. He began his career in North America with the Asheville Aces and the Columbia Inferno, before splitting time with the Pee Dee Cyclones and the Barracudas last season.
Viazanica has a high level of commitment to the Barracudas and to playing in Jacksonville, and is very excited to return to the team.
"I like playing in Jacksonville," said Viazanica. "I think the team is going to be great and am very much looking forward to the season starting."
