Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
Williamsport completed a doubleheader sweep of West Virginia, in the process, completing a series sweep of the Black Bears at home.
Jack Perkins earned the win in game one, working three innings, allowing one run and striking out four. Keylan Killgore worked a pair of scoreless innings, earning his 7th save, which is 2nd in the New York-Penn League.
Danny Mayer hit a 436 home run, his 3rd of the season and Ben Pelletier went 3 for 3 to highlight the offense in the first game.
James McArthur tossed 5.1 innings of scoreless baseball, striking out eight to earn his 2nd win of the season. Rafael Carvajal earned his first save, tossing 1.2 innings of shut out baseball as the Cutters tossed their 4th shutout of the season.
