Cutters Anthem Auditions Saturday
May 3, 2012 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters will hold tryouts for National Anthem singers and performers this Saturday, May 5, from 10am-2pm at Bowman Field.
All individuals and groups who are interested in singing the "Star Spangled Banner" prior to a 2012 home game must audition on this date, including all performers who have sung in previous years. The Crosscutters are looking for any and all types of performers of any age; from singers and groups to musicians.
No appointment time is necessary. Individuals/groups will be heard on a first come, first served basis during the audition time.
All National Anthem vocal auditions will be performed a cappella. Instruments are permitted, but only those that do not require electricity. Performances must be kept under one minute and thirty seconds. Decisions will not be made the day of the event. Those chosen to sing at a game will be notified at a later date.
Due to a carnival taking place in the parking lot of Bowman Field on the audition date, those attending are encouraged to park in the Memorial Park lot. Entrance to the stadium will be through the VIP Gate on the first-base side of the stadium.
The Crosscutters open their 2012 season on June 18 hosting the State College Spikes. Ticket information can be found online at crosscutters.com or by calling the Cutters Hotline at (570) 326-3389.
