August 12, 2018 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
In front of a sellout crowd of 3,757 fans at Gesa Stadium on Saturday the Tri-City Dust Devils (6-10, 24-30) came away with the 4-1 win over the Hillsboro Hops (9-7, 33-21). Michael Curry's two-out double in the bottom of the eighth inning drove in three runs, giving Tri-City a lead they would not relinquish.
For the second straight night it was a pitchers' duel throughout most of the game between the Dust Devils and Hops. Tri-City starter Angel Acevedo again delivered a strong performance for the Dust Devils. Acevedo got the no-decision after allowing one run in six innings of work. Reliever Ramon Perez earned the win after keeping Hillsboro scoreless over the final three innings of the game.
Right-hander Adrian Martinez will start the fourth game of the five-game series for Tri-City on Sunday night. Hillsboro will counter with right-hander Ryan Weiss. It will be Team Photo Giveaway Night presented by Ambetter from Coordinated Care. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
