Currie Hat Trick Gets Condors 4-3 Win over San Jose

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - C Josh Currie registered his third career AHL hat trick as the Bakersfield Condors (11-12-3-0) took a 4-3 shootout decision over the San Jose Barracuda (12-11-1-1) on Thursday night at Rabobank Arena.

LW Joey LaLeggia had two assists and scored the shootout game-winner as the Condors kicked off a four-game homestand with a win.


THREE STARS: 1. Currie (BAK) 2. LaLeggia (BAK) 3. Ryan (SJ). POWER PLAYS: BAK - 1/3; SJ - 1/5. SHOTS ON GOAL: BAK - 42; SJ - 28. GOALTENDERS: BAK - Ellis (7-6-1; 28/25); SJ - Grosenick (4-4-2; 42/39). C Josh Currie (4g-4a) has a five-game point streak after his hat trick and has seven points (3g-4a) in four games against San Jose. The Condors are 5-2-2 in their last nine home games. Bakersfield is 2-0 in shootouts this season with RW Ty Rattie scoring on each of his attempts. D Mark Fayne was loaned to Springfield (AHL) earlier in the week.
