The Daytona Cubs chase for a repeat championship will start on the road at Brevard County on Thursday, April 7th 2005. The D-Cubs home opener will be on Saturday, April 9th vs. the Manatees. Stay tuned for game times and promotions. All dates and opponents are subject to change.

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs will open the 2005 season on April 4 in Arizona, against the Diamondbacks, and will face the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays in Interleague Play. The home opener will be on April 8, against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Cubs will host Toronto from June 6-8, entertain the American League champion Red Sox from June 10-12 and play at Yankee Stadium from June 17-19 for the first time since the 1938 World Series.
The crosstown home-and-road Interleague series against the White Sox will be played from May 20-22 at Wrigley Field and June 24-26 at U.S. Cellular Field.
In 2004, the Cubs were finished playing their division rival, St. Louis, by July 20. In 2005, the Cubs and National League champion Cardinals will meet April 20-21, July 22-24 and Sept. 5-7 in St. Louis, and Aug. 11-14 and Sept. 15-18 in Chicago.
The Cubs close the season against Houston on back-to-back weekends, entertaining the Astros at Wrigley from Sept. 23-25, and traveling to Minute Maid Park Sept. 29-30 and Oct. 1-2.
