(Memorial Stadium - Everett, WA) - A nine-run bottom of the 2nd inning buried the Canadians in Everett on Monday night in the opener of a three-game series between West Division rivals.

Canadians RHP Eric Brown couldn't get out of the 2nd inning as Everett sent 12 hitters to the plate including 1B Taylor Arn who hit his second home run of the night, a grand slam that helped the Aquasox to a nine-run inning that chased the former UBC Thunderbird pitcher from the game.

Vancouver would fall behind 13-0 before the offense was able to break to Everett shutout bid in the top of the 8th inning. Canadians 2B Dan Arcila hit a two-run double down the right field line scoring both DH Dan Klein (reached on error) and 3B Kellen Sweeney (walk) to cut the lead to 13-2.

The Canadians fall to 8-3 (.727) on the season and move into a tie with the Aquasox atop the West Division as Everett also improves to 8-3 (.727).

Notes: Vancouver announced that RHP Taylor Cole will miss Tuesday's start and be replaced in the rotation by RHP Nick Purdy...
