
C's Announce 2010 Coaching Staff

(Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club are proud to announce that Rick Magnante will return for his 5th season as Manager, Coaches Craig Lefferts and Casey Myers will also return as will Trainer Travis Tims.
The Oakland Athletics announced their entire Minor League designations on Wednesday with Vancouver remaining completely intact from a season ago.
Magnante is the first Manager in Vancouver professional baseball history to lead a team for five consecutive years amassing a record of 146-157 (.482) over his first four seasons including a 36-40 (.474) record in 2009. The native of Sherman Oaks, CA is also the Manager of the South African National Baseball Union as well as handling regional scouting duties in Southern California for the Oakland A's.
Lefferts is also back for his 5th season with the Canadians guiding the arms of the Oakland Athletics future in the right direction. Under his guidance, no Canadians pitching staff has ever finished less than 4th in the Northwest League in Earned Run Average.
The return of Casey Myers is also a positive for the Canadians as the eight-year Minor Leaguer made his coaching debut in 2009. Myers helped the C's offense hit.261 and maintained one of the highest on-base percentages in the Northwest League (.343).
Tims makes his 3rd straight trip to Vancouver after helping the Oregon State Beavers to the NCAA College World Series in 2007.
