Crunch Release Left Wing Kevin Harvey

Syracuse, NY (December 7, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released left wing Kevin Harvey from his professional tryout contract.

Harvey, 24, appeared in two games for the Crunch, scoring one goal and recording 20 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 21 games for Reading (ECHL) this year, notching two goals, seven assists and 111 penalty minutes.

A native of Sheffield, Ontario, Harvey was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the ninth round, 270th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, December 12 as they return home to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
