Williamsport Crosscutters starter Joe Bauserman (3-2) lasted just two innings in Tuesday night's 8-5 loss to the Batavia Muckdogs.
The Cutters led 2-1 entering the second, but Batavia exploded for a 6-run inning, highlighted by a 3-run Michael Costanzo home run. Muckdogs starter Matthew Maloney (2-1) held the Crosscutters to two runs on four hits and four walks in five innings, striking out six.
The Cutters are off on Wednesday, followed by a 3-game road trip in Lowell starting Thursday night.
